SI Editor Edit Menu - Delete Added Revisions

This command can be executed from the Editor's Right-click menu or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+T.

Removes <ADD></ADD> tagsSpecsIntact relies on tags to control content, and formatting, automate processes, and generate reports. These special markers, like <SEC> and </SEC>, define elements and attributes within the specifications. Some tags, like <Page />, function independently. In essence, tags are the building blocks of SpecsIntact documents and the text between them that was previously designated to be added, as indicated by green underlining.

Illustration Icon Indicating CautionActivating the command without any green underlined text selected will remove all the added text throughout the entire SectionA set of files within the Division of a Master or Job that covers specific aspects of construction, and remove the corresponding <ADD> Tags.  Activating the command with green underlined text selected will remove only the selected text (this command can be executed from the Right-click menu).

Illustration Icon Indicating Important Information To NoteYou can use the Edit > Undo Command to reverse the results of this function before the changes have been saved or the Execute Revisions command has been used.

Illustration Icon Indicating Important Information To NoteThis function does not affect any text marked for deletion by strikethrough and located between the <DEL></DEL> tags -- see Undelete Redlined Revisions for that function.  To revert both Add and Delete functions at the same time, use Remove All Revisions.

How To Use This Feature

  1. In the SI Editor
  2. Highlight the Added text
  3. Right-click and choose Delete Added Revisions
