This command can be executed from the Editor's keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter.

Allows you to insert a hard (forced) page break -- represented by the PGE tag --  at the cursor location. When using this tag, the Editor adds text line breaks when saving files, making them easier to view with third-party applications such as Notepad.

Illustration Icon Indicating Helpful HintHard page breaks PGE uses a solid line, whereas soft page breaks use a dotted and dashed line.

Illustration Icon Indicating Important Information To NoteThe Editor will not allow this tag to be used in locations where it would not be appropriate, such as inside Submittals, References, Titles, or any other specialized content.

Illustration Icon Indicating CautionUsing a page break to avoid undesirable line breaks should be used with caution as they may have unexpected results. Text viewed on the screen is pure data and differs from the processed printed files. Therefore, lines that appear may appear in the middle of a printed page once the SectionA set of files within the Division of a Master or Job that covers specific aspects of construction has been processed/published.
