Removes <DEL></DEL> TagsSpecsIntact relies on tags to control content, and formatting, automate processes, and generate reports. These special markers, like
and
, define elements and attributes within the specifications. Some tags, like <Page />, function independently. In essence, tags are the building blocks of SpecsIntact documents from text previously designated for deletion, and removes the red overstrike.
- Activating this command without any redlined text selected will restoreA process used to bring back a backed-up Job, Master, or Supplemental Reference List from the specified location (Drive or other device) to the SpecsIntact system all redlined text throughout the entire SectionA set of files within the Division of a Master or Job that covers specific aspects of construction, and remove the corresponding <DEL> Tags.
- Activating this command with specific redlined text selected will restore only the selected text (this command can also be activated from the Right-clickTo press the right button of a mouse and release it to open a menu menu).
You can use the Undo command to reverse the results of this function before the changes have been saved.
Examples
You have used the Revisions function to mark the following text for deletion:
- <DEL>SpecsIntact will not unmark the selected text</DEL>
If you select the word "not" and click Edit > Undelete Redlined RevisionsThe Revisions command reveals or conceals Revisions that are tagged in the text. Text to be added is identified with underscoring and the addition tags, <ADD> and </ADD>. Whereas text to be deleted, or Redlined, is identified with overstriking and the delete tags, <DEL> and </DEL>, or right-click and choose the same option, the result would be:
- <DEL>SpecsIntact will not unmark the selected text</DEL>
This function does not affect any text marked for addition and is located between the <ADD></ADD> tags -- see Delete Added Revisions for that function. To reverse both Add and Delete functions at the same time, use Remove All Revisions.
How To Use This Feature
To Undelete Redlined Revisions, you must do the following:
- In the SI Editor
- Highlight the Redlined (deleted) text
- Right-click and choose Undelete Redlined Revisions
