SBM Tag

TagsSpecsIntact relies on tags to control content, and formatting, automate processes, and generate reports. These special markers, like <SEC> and </SEC>, define elements and attributes within the specifications. Some tags, like <Page />, function independently. In essence, tags are the building blocks of SpecsIntact documents:	<SBM> </SBM>

Description:	This tag is used to identify Submittals within the 01 33 00 Submittal Procedures SectionA set of files within the Division of a Master or Job that covers specific aspects of construction only. The SBM Tags are used in Definitions paragraph and surround the Submittal Description number and title. The SBM Tags containing an attribute are used throughout the Section to surround Subparts containing the Submittal Descriptions.

Submittal Descriptions contained within the Definitions paragraph along with paragraphs that are surrounded by the SBM tag that accompany an attribute will be automatically reconciled during the processing. The attributes are associated with the Submittal Descriptions cited in the Definitions paragraph.

How To Use This Feature

To Insert a Tag

From the cursor position, press the keyboard F4 key
Type the first letter S until the Submittal (SBM) Tag description appears, or
Select the drop-down arrow and choose the Submittal (SBM) Tag from the list
Select OK

To Add Attribute to the SBM Tag

in the Editing window, place the cursor to the right of the beginning SBM Tag
Right-click and choose Attributes > Submittal Description Number
In the Specify SD Number box, choose the appropriate SD Number
Select OK
