The SpecsIntact software is distributed on the SpecsIntact Website.
The WBDG was developed by the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) under a contract with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). In addition to the software, and the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) specifications, their website contains various government technical references, design and construction criteria, government and industry technical standards, and construction specifications for other government agencies. SpecsIntact facilitates an interchange of construction specifications among government agencies, therefore eliminating the necessity for users' familiarity with multiple agency specification systems.
SpecsIntact is a continually evolving software program, and user requests and technology demands drive the growth rate. The direction for the development comes from the SpecsIntact Interagency Configuration Control and Coordinating Board (SI-CCCB).
The most recent version of the software is always available without cost from the SpecsIntact Website's Software Download page. Check the Release Specifier Notes found in the Website's Knowledge Base to learn about enhancements and corrections since the previous version.
Users are encouraged to visit the SpecsIntact Website's Support & Help Center for access to all of our User Tools, including eLearning (video tutorials), printable Guides, a Knowledge Base containing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Technical Notes and Release Notes, and Web-Based Help.
