SI Editor View Menu - Numeric Paragraphs

This Command can be executed from the View menu or the keyboard shortcut Alt+U.

Supports the Automatic Paragraph Numbering for JobsA collection of projects and MastersA group of standard Government agency (Master) Guide Specifications used in the preparation of a Job, which allows the SI Editor to easily toggle views Numeric and Alphanumeric numbering schemes. The Editor's View menu is determined by the Job or Master Properties Options > Paragraph Format for Automatically Numbered Section when Numeric or Alphanumeric is selected.  Using this option will control the display only and not change the way the Sections are printed or published. To control the output go to the SI Explorer's > File > Properties >  Options tab. 

Illustration Icon Indicating Helpful HintTo learn more about Editing Sections that use Automatic Paragraph NumberingThis feature automatically generates the Subpart Numbers for Numeric and  Alphanumeric Formatted Sections by placing the correct Subpart Numbers between the Subpart  <SPT> and the Title <TTL> tags.  Unlike Traditional Paragraph Numbering, the number within the Subpart Tag and the auto-generated Title number will always match.  This provides the capability to easily switch numbering schemes regardless of the original setup, users should refer to SpecsIntact's QuickStart Guides for Numeric or Alphanumeric from the Website's Support & Help Center page.  The QuickStart Guides are available in PDF Format and designed for learning SpecsIntact basics.

How To Use This Feature

This will uncheck the Numeric Paragraphs option and switch to the Alphanumeric numbering scheme.

  1. In the SI Editor, select the View drop-down menu
  2. Select Numeric Paragraphs.

This will check the Numeric Paragraphs option and switch back to the Numeric numbering scheme.

  1. In the SI Editor, select the View drop-down menu
  2. Select Numeric Paragraphs.
